Participation Rules :

Olympiad will be held in four categories.
Category A: 5th-6th Class
Category B: 7th-8th Class
Category C: 9th-10th Class (SSC Candidates and Equivalent)
Category D: 11th-12th Class (HSC Candidates and Equivalent)

Registration for the 14th Bangladesh Physics Olympiad 2024 will start from 00:00 PM on Sunday 24 September 2023. Class of 2023 must be used for registration.

Teletalk number cannot be used for registration.

250 (Two Hundred and Fifty) Rupees as registration fee for Physics Olympiad must be paid at the time of online registration (which is non-refundable).

Entering the website and selecting the Registration option from the menu will take you to Bkash Payment. After making the payment, the Bkash Transaction ID can be copied and entered in the registration form. If one is unable to complete the registration after making the payment, then one can complete the registration with the Bkash Transaction ID. This registration fee is for regional phase only. Multiple registration fee payments from the same number should be attempted at least 10 minutes apart.

Registration number and password will be sent through SMS to the contestant’s mobile number. This registration number and password must be saved by the contestant. Registration number and password will be required to access and make any changes to your profile. As the registration number and password will be sent to the mobile phone, care must be taken in selecting the mobile number. If there is any problem during registration or if you do not receive SMS after registration, you can email managerbdpho@gmail.com .

The regional round will be held directly at the center and the national round will be held with the regional winners.

The winning students from the national round will be invited to the training camp. Previous Asian Physics Olympiad contestants can directly participate in the National Level Examination and International Physics Olympiad participants (subject to age and eligibility as per APhO & IPhO rules) can directly participate in the National Training Camp. This year 5 contestants will be selected to represent Bangladesh in the 54th International Physics Olympiad to be held in Iran. This year 8 may be nominated to participate in the 24th Asian Physics Olympiad in Malaysia and 5 in the 8th European Physics Olympiad in Georgia. The decision of the Olympiad Committee shall be final in the selection of teams for the Physics Olympiad. Any suggestion and attempt to interfere will be treated as disqualification.
