Applications for the World Around Young Climate Prize 2025 are now open! This international prize is an initiative of the New York-based nonprofit organization The World Around. The Young Climate Prize award and mentorship program aim to support young and emerging designers/activists who have grown up in the era of climate crisis and have the passion for addressing such issues. This award is open to young people from all over the world who wish to share their projects and ideas relevant to climate crisis. The World Around Prize pairs these young change-makers with mentors from the international design community, providing them with guidance to increase the impact of their efforts and connect them with a global network of passionate individuals. So, if you are a young individual who has a climate-focused project/idea, then you must apply for the World Around Young Climate Prize.

Among the applicants of the Young Climate Prize, 25 finalists will have the opportunity to receive transformative mentorship, while three winners will visit New York City to showcase their work and ideas at The World Around’s esteemed Annual Summit in 2025. The chosen 25 individuals, all under the age of 25, will be matched with mentors from The World Around’s esteemed group of Design Champions. These champions include internationally recognized architects, urbanists, and designers. Through the World Around YCP, each mentee will engage in a series of at least three hour-long sessions with their mentor. Thus, offering an excellent opportunity to enhance their projects, brainstorm new ideas, and draw inspiration from experienced professionals.

In addition to the personalized mentorship sessions, participants of The World Around Young Climate Prize 2025 will also take part in a ‘Design Academy’. Held virtually every weekend, these workshops, organized by The World Around Prize, cover a range of topics including marketing, fundraising, graphic design, communications, and filmmaking. These sessions not only provide valuable skills but also serve as an excellent opportunity for participants to connect with their peers in the cohort. These academy programs and mentoring sessions will take place online between September and December 2024. Therefore, young individuals from all around the world must apply for the World Around Climate Prize 2025.

Eligibility Criteria :
