Eligibility Criteria of UN FAO World Food Day Poster Contest:

  • The contest is open to children and youth aged between 5 and 19.
  • Young people from all countries can apply.
  • Participants must declare their age on the entry form when entering the contest.

Requirements of UN Poster Competition:

  • Applicants shall only submit one entry per person.
  • All artwork needs to be original; any copied poster will be disqualified immediately. 
  • The competition consists of four categories: 5 to 8, 9 to 12, 13 to 15 years, and 16 to 19 years, allowing participants to compete within their respective age groups.
  • Participants have the freedom to create their poster entries using various artistic mediums such as drawing, painting, sketching, or digitally creating artwork. They can use pens, pencils, crayons, charcoal, oil, acrylic, watercolor paint, or mixed media. However, photographs are not permitted.
  • Poster entries can be either text-based or non-text-based. Participants should not exceed 25 words or 100 characters if they add text. Do not add personal information like names, school names, or age should.
  • Participants are encouraged to explore the World Food Day theme by referring to the World Food Day Activity Book. Younger children may seek guidance from a parent or teacher while studying the theme.
  • Only digital files saved in JPEG format will be accepted, and participants must submissions through the designated online form.

Application Process:

  • Click the Apply Now button at the end of the application process section to enter the UN FAO World Food Day Poster Contest.
  • Fill the form and upload your poster, agree to the terms and conditions and submit the form.
  • Submit the poster through the online form. Do not submit your poster through any other medium or channel.
  • The United Nations FAO World Food Day Poster Contest 2023 application deadline is 3 November 2023. 
  • Results announcement will take place in December 2023.
